Saturday 13 September from 10:30am to 1pm
Young bakers will learn how to make three classic treats—chewy muesli slice, chocolate muffins, and sugar biscuits - while picking up essential kitchen skills along the way.
Working in small teams, students will rotate between baking stations, measure and mix ingredients, and take part in setting the table for a proper afternoon tea tasting. It’s the perfect introduction to baking, teamwork, and the joy of sharing something you’ve made.
Ages 10–12 (Parent attendance required, but no participation needed)
In the workshop, kids will:
Learn kitchen safety and hygiene basics
Bake three different treats from scratch
Muesli Slice (oats, seeds, fruit, honey)
Chocolate Muffins (rich and fluffy)
Sugar Biscuits (rolled, cut, and decorated)
Enjoy a group tasting and reflect on what they learned
Team up to clean the kitchen and set a tea table
A sample of each treat
A printed recipe sheet for all three items
A “Mini Afternoon Tea Baker” certificate
An apron
A lidded container to take food home
A fun and confidence-building session for any young food lover!
