Let’s Speak Dharawal! A NAIDOC Week language adventure on Cockatoo Island / Wareamah.

Calling all parents with curious kids! Ever wanted to learn how to say cool words in one of Australia’s oldest languages? Come along to our Dharawal language workshop on Friday 11 July and dive into the rich culture, stories and language of First Nations People.

  • Learn how to say everyday words in Dharawal

  • Play games and do creative activities

  • Hear amazing stories from Dharawal Country

  • Discover animals, places and traditions through language.

Designed for kids aged 6 and up, this workshop is also a fun and meaningful way to celebrate NAIDOC Week.
