Instagram – The New Editorial takes students on a guided tour of the world’s most ubiquitous online photography sharing platform and demonstrates strategies for improving visibility and reach.
Making reference to established photographers with strong presences on the platform, Instagram – The New Editorial provides an editorial approach to curating posts in a way that is designed to introduce students to new audiences.
Instagram – The New Editorial is all about photography but is not a technical workshop. Focusing over 3 weeks on giving and taking, making and looking the course takes students on a guided tour through the Instagram jungle. Exploring notions of ethics, integrity, privacy, sharing and collaboration this course speaks to the creation and evolution of a meaningful Instagram profile in real-time.
Note – this course includes a catch-up session to be scheduled after the conclusion of the last class. Date, time and location to be confirmed.
