Saturday 20 May from 9:30am to 12pm Saturday 24 June from 9:30am to 12pm
Armed with some basic tools and a little know-how, children will learn how to use tools safely to do simple joining!
They will have the opportunity to use hammers and handsaws to build a small object to take home in this fun Sydney beginners woodworking class.
Using zero-waste principles and reuse materials, we’ll explore how to upcycle existing objects using timber additions. Kids will learn how to use some of the following tools depending on the project of the day: screwdrivers, pliers, handsaws, hammers, clamps and wood glue. Each class group will make something different depending on the reuse resources available at the time.
This Sydney class is suitable for ages 8 to 12 years. If you are looking for fun kids activities in Sydney, then this is perfect.
Note: This is a structured workshop and may not be suitable for all children.
Children with poor dexterity may find the use of tools frustrating but are welcome to come along and practise.
Please observe the age range.
Safety is key in this workshop so please only enrol your child if this would be suitable.
Your child may not complete the activity as all children work at different speeds.
