Join the inclusive skating community for a morning of ice skating & connection at Ice Zoo Alexandria with specialised coaches.
The objectives and benefits of an inclusive skating specific holiday Ccmp for individuals with additional physical, intellectual or sensory needs include:
Opportunity for group interaction
Development in approach to handling social situations and a new environment
Life skills: taking instruction, balance, listening
Physical exercise
Social and sensory interaction
Introduction to competitive opportunities to participate in global inclusive skating events with international bodies (International Skating Union [ISU] recognised events)
Introduction to in-house events, learn to skate and coaching opportunities
Introduction to goal setting and evaluation
Opportunities to work with elite level coaches and teams
An environment where family members, companions and carers can participate

8-8:30am: Volunteer Arrival
8:30-9am: Arrivals, Support with Accessible Access, Skate Fitting and Welcome
9-10am: Ice Time (Floating coaches and activities)
10-10:45am: Morning Tea and Connection
10:45am: The Inclusive Skating Camp Finishes (exit Ice Zoo with accessibility support from Volunteers and Staff)
