Inclusive the exhibition suggests ceramic works from a diverse group of artists investigating the diversity of the clay experience. All with similar training in ceramic practice yet pivoting in their own directions informed by their experiences and favoured ways of building.
From growing up in Zimbabwe (Lesley Murray), exploring the need of touch in our lives(Jules Irving), loving colour, pattern and shape (Gemma Gale), searching out contemporary artefacts (Heidi Steller), exploring the juxtaposition of black and white (Sol Contardo) and developing veneers of clay in refined unglazed colours (Debbey Watson) Inclusive the exhibition is as diverse as the uniqueness of the ceramicists involved and the myriad of clays and ceramic techniques employed to create their art.
