Vortex is a series of paintings by Helen Eager that continue her exploration of colour and geometric forms in space.

Although seemingly simple works, the paintings play tricks on our eyes, making us see colours that aren't there, and drifting of these triangular shapes across the painted white voids.

In some the colours of the individual triangles are blended and layered into a solid panel of muted colour.

This exhibition coincides with Helen Eager's inclusion in the Dobell Australian Drawing Biennial currently at the Art Gallery of NSW.
