Sunday 30 March from 9:30am to 11:30am
Join us for a guided bike ride through the vibrant community gardens of Sydney! Our journey begins at the picturesque Sydney Park in Alexandria, where you'll find us gathered near the bike racks of Sydney City Farm. Get ready for a leisurely bike ride that not only embraces the joy of riding a bike but also modern urban agricultural practises nestled in the heart of the city.
This guided ride is approximately 10 km and starts and finishes at Sydney City Farm, a hub of sustainable farming that sets the tone for our exploration. As we pedal through bike-friendly streets, we'll make our way to Pocket City Farm, Camperdown, another gem in the urban landscape where greenery meets innovation. Take in the sights, smells, and stories of these community-driven spaces.
Our journey continues to Camdenville Paddock Community Garden, Newtown, weaving through quiet streets and discovering hidden pockets of greenery along the way.
Throughout the tour, our guides will point out other gardens and spaces of interest, offering a holistic perspective on the urban green movement. Engage with the other riders in conversations about the importance of sustainable living and discover how choosing to ride a bike can positively impact not only your well-being but also the health of the planet.
Come pedal with us as we explore, learn, and celebrate the flourishing community gardens that make Sydney a greener, more sustainable city. This guided ride promises a blend of leisure, education, and a connection to the green heart of urban living.
