Free guided ride.

Celebrate Mardi Gras Festival while discovering Sydney's bicycle-friendly streets connecting two iconic LGBTQIA + neighbourhoods. This easy 13km ride includes green spaces, quiet streets and cycleways connecting the bicycle network. Expect colourful rainbow paths, historic landmarks and LQBTQIA+ attractions as the city heats up with celebration and pride on the morning of the Mardi Gras Parade.

Guided rides on behalf of City of Sydney are led by friendly professional guides from queer-owned and run, Pedal Set Go.

This guided ride is for people wanting to learn bicycle-friendly routes to navigate their city. We ride at a leisurely pace, giving you time to see sights, take photos, and speak with the guides and other riders.

Riding is about building connections, not just the ride. Make friends, exchange stories, and learn how to plan your own journeys.

You'll need:

  • Your own roadworthy bike and helmet

  • Water bottle and snacks

  • Your sense of adventure

Please arrive at 9:45am for a 10am start.

Children under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.

Bookings required.

We encourage participants to complete the Cycling in the City course before joining a guided ride. The Cycling in the City course will equip you with the skills you need to ride in Sydney.
