GAS SYD presents COLOUR BURN, a group art exhibition that showcases a diverse array of unique work from 24 independent and emerging Sydney artists.
While an emphasis on ‘Colour’ is not necessarily a theme or prerequisite, this show acknowledges that colour always plays an essential role in the creation of art and our perception of it - from the monotone to the subdued, to the bold - the colour palette of a work, whether 2D or 3D, often informs our first reaction as well as what is most remembered. The week-long exhibition also features an artist's talk, live music and a special light project display.
