Glass blowing class for beginners: taster

Where
27 Sydney St
Marrickville NSW 2204
Australia
When

Fridays, 6pm to 8:30pm Friday 28 June 2024 to Friday 30 August 2024

This beginner's class is taught by Glass Artist Mark Eliott. Mark will take you through the basics of glass blowing in this two-hour introduction in his Redfern studio.

You are using both right and left parts of the brain in this creative process which combines planning with improvisation. Students will come on a creative adventure with glass flame-work which balances technique, structure and improvisation.

You will make at least one glass object that you can take home for your family and friends to admire, which could be a small glass animal, pendant or abstract creation; you might come away with several objects.

These creations will be finished and ready for you to take home approximately 40 minutes after the end of the class.
