Fundamentals of psychedelic medicine experience

Voytek Bereza, a UK-licensed prescribing neuropsychopharmacist, returns for a new lecture covering the fundamentals of psychedelic medicine.
The lecture includes:
A review of the new Australian Government approval of MDMA and psilocybin as medicines coming into effect 1 July 2023.
A comparison of key psychedelic compounds including ecstasy, magic mushrooms, DMT, LSD and ketamine covering effect, duration of action, and safety.
A review of the most up-to-date scientific data on their efficacy and use in depression, anxiety and PTSD.
A brief history of where the medicines originated from in nature including common cacti and mushroom species.
How psychedelics might be used to improve people's nature connectedness and help more people address the environmental crisis.
The lecture will last for 30 minutes and will be followed by a 15-minute forum-style questions and answer session. For anyone who would like to stay further, there is also the opportunity for attendees to experience a temporary, non-drug-induced hallucinogenic state using stroboscopics.
