Fruits 30: Three Decades. Three Levels. One Big Night.
Thirty years ago, Fruits brought Sydney’s LGBTQIA+ business community and professionals together in one room, and we haven’t stopped since.
For our 30th, our community is coming together to celebrate this milestone with a whole-venue takeover of all three levels of Tribe@231.
It will be a night celebrating the connections that built Fruits, what it means to the community today and the possibilities still ahead.
Because after three decades, one thing remains true: you never know who you’ll meet at Fruits! A future client. A new collaborator. An old friend. Your next employer, business partner, mentor or big idea. Sometimes, it is simply someone you would never have met anywhere else.
Expect a packed venue, great conversations, familiar faces and new connections across business, community, government, the arts and beyond. Enjoy drinks and canapés, and be in the running to win some fabulous prizes.
Whether you run a business, lead a team, work for yourself, are building your career, changing direction or simply want to meet interesting people - everyone is welcome at Fruits.
Come with colleagues. Bring your friends. Arrive on your own. Fruits is designed to make connecting easy, because one conversation can open up endless possibilities.
Three decades of Fruits
Fruits began in 1996 as Fruits in Suits, created by the then Sydney Gay & Lesbian Business Association and first held at Sol Bar in Taylor Square.
That organisation is now the Pride Business Association (NSW), and Fruits has become the longest-running LGBTQIA+ networking event in the Southern Hemisphere.
Over three decades, Fruits has evolved alongside our community, bringing generations of LGBTQIA+ business owners, professionals, creatives, leaders and allies together.
We are proud to mark this milestone with a whole-venue takeover of an LGBTQIA+ owned business on Oxford Street, just around the corner from where Fruits first began.
