Explore the Parliament with a free guided tour.
Over 1 hour, our friendly guides will take you through the Legislative Chambers and the historic Parkes, Wentworth and Jubilee rooms. You will experience first-hand the beautiful colonial architecture while learning more about the role, history and work of the Parliament.
The tour is conducted in English and is suitable for visitors of all ages. Tours on Monday and Friday only outside the school holidays. During the school holidays, tours take place every day during the school holidays except the last Friday of the October school holidays when the Parliament celebrates its annual Family Fun Day by staging fun and educational activities for the public from 10am-3pm. The Parliament is also closed during the Christmas and New Year period, so check our website for closure dates.
Visits to the Legislative Chambers and to the historic rooms is subject to availability of those spaces at the time.

Precautionary measures have been implemented in accordance with the guidelines and recommendations provided by NSW Health, the Australian Government Department of Health and the World Health Organisation.
Parliamentary Catering’s pre-existing strict hygiene standards have now been expanded to include the following additional procedures:
Social distancing – in line with directives from the Department of Health
1.5 m rule and 2 sqm for functions and events
Function limits to 300 people
Temperature checks upon arrival
QR Codes via the Service NSW app upon arrival
Minimising person-to-person contact where possible
Increased regularity of deep cleaning of the venue
Provisions for hand sanitizers throughout the venue
Anti-bacterial soap available in the bathrooms
Mandating that all staff showing signs of illness remain home.
