Saturday 7 December from 11am to 12pm
Join us at N.Smith Gallery for an intimate life drawing session inspired by the flora and delicate forms central to Neva Hosking’s practice. Immerse yourself in Neva's world of moths and lush overgrowth, tranquil yet charged relationship between nature and time with the artist in the gallery. Learn more about Neva Hosking's artistic approach and practice, and her reflections on abundance, nature’s cycles, and the quiet persistence of beauty.
This session runs alongside Neva Hosking’s solo exhibition Behind the Wheel, in Front of the Storm, which offers a glimpse into a world defined by quiet persistence. Her works on vintage paper uniquely captures the cycle of life and decay, the intense abundance against the edges of mortality. The tangible impressions left on Neva’s observations allow them to become part of this endless recurrence, bearing witness to the world’s processes, rather than dominating it. View online here.
All skill levels are welcome! Paper and pencils will be provided; please bring a sturdy surface for drawing.
