1st of August 6-9pm 342 Elizabeth St, Surry Hills
From the artist:
"This large world-building body of work explores my navigation of queer and neurodivergent identity in a world that feels overwhelming and often hostile. I create art to foster a comforting, reassuring and immersive visual language that cushions myself from my immediate environment. The shows consists largely of wall hanging ceramic slabs as well as sculptures and vases decorated and in reference to imagery pulled from cartoons and kid’s toys and blended with the fantastical and the emotional to build my own narratives. I have also used screen printing with underglazes as a way to reinforce my choices of imagery, add dimension and include my own photographs."
