Sunday 31 August from 3pm to 4:30pm
Fresh from sell out performances at the Sydney Opera House and Riverside Theatres Parramatta, The Metropolitan Orchestra’s (TMO) final Met concert of 2025 features a spectacular selection of classical music masterpieces. Led by Chief Conductor Sarah-Grace Williams, this powerhouse performance features music by Saint-Saens, Tchaikovsky, and Dvorak for an afternoon that will blast away those winter chills
The performance starts with the famous tone poem from Saint-Saens, his Danse Macabre. Following this is Tchaikovsky’s own powerfully romantic Romeo & Juliet Overture where love and violence share the stage in an epic musical rendition of the classic Shakespearean story. Dvorak’s euphoric Eighth Symphony sets the scene for the warmer spring months ahead to bring the concert to a fitting finale and leave everyone in an uplifted mood as The Metropolitan Orchestra ends their amazing 17th concert season.
