One simple way of creating a sense of distance in landscape painting is to differentiate your mark-making by using small thin marks for depicting distant objects, and create contrast by using bold oversized marks for depicting foreground objects.

In this workshop we will explore this technique as well as other methods of of creating a powerful sense of depth in landscape painting.
