Get your hands dirty and discover the rewarding process of throwing clay. In this directed 4-week course, get a fun introduction to wheel work with our experienced tutors.
Learn correct posture, centring, throwing and turning your vessel, and how to open and finish the form.
Designed for complete beginners with a focus on process and technique rather than production.
This course takes place on Sundays
Week 1: Sunday 18 October from 10am to 12:30pm
Week 2: Sunday 25 October from 10am to 12:30pm
Week 3: Sunday 1 November from 10am to 12:30pm
Week 4: Sunday 15 November from 10am to 12:30pm
Please note: No class Sunday, 8 November- clay drying week.
Level: designed for beginner level students.
Wear: comfortable clothing and enclosed shoes (trousers recommended).
Bring: please bring your own apron and towel.
Your works will be fired and ready to collect around 4 weeks after the course. We’re unable to fire pieces made outside of the course.
