Painting: introduction to painting techniques

Ready to dive into painting? This 2.5-hour introductory class provides a comprehensive foundation in acrylic painting, suitable for any style or subject – whether it’s landscape, portrait, still life or abstract work.

With guidance from an expert tutor, you'll cover core fundamentals, including:

• Basic colour mixing

• Acrylic paint application techniques

• Using paint mediums for effects

• Tips for good compositions

By the end of the workshop, you'll have a solid understanding of the painting process and the confidence to continue developing your skills independently.

• Level: designed for beginner level students 16+yrs

• Bring: yourself and an apron, all art materials provided

• Wear: enclosed shoes (no sandals or thongs) and comfortable clothing
