Australia is set to welcome the exceptional Irish vocalist Camille O’Sullivan, a gifted interpreter of narrative song, who is renowned for seamlessly recasting well-known songs into stark new shapes, and has performed alongside the likes of The Pogues, Sinead O’Connor, Marianne Faithful and Jarvis Cocker.
Hailed as a love letter in song, Camille’s new show Loveletter celebrates her dear friend celebrated Irish musician Shane McGowan (The Pogues), for whom she performed a beautiful version of his famous Pogues duet Haunted at his funeral in 2023. Loveletter also pays homage to another departed musical colleague and friend, the late great, Sinéad O’Connor, and features hits by Leonard Cohen, David Bowie, Nick Cave and more.
Performing with accompaniment from her long-time collaborator Fergal Murray, Camille has created an intimate, heartfelt show capturing the honest response to those much loved and lost.
