Internationally cherished Melbourne ten-piece funk & soul outfit, The Bamboos are celebrating 25 years of hits with a special one night only Sydney performance.

The Bamboos 25 Years is unashamedly a night for the fans, with bandleader / guitarist Lance Ferguson and powerhouse lead singer Kylie Auldist bringing their biggest show to Sydney yet. Timed with the release of their anniversary compilation album The Bamboos Best, expect to hear favourites alongside deep cuts.

Throughout their career, The Bamboos have reinvigorated a classic sound whilst seamlessly incorporating contemporary influences to create something altogether brand new. Original hits Hard Up, I Got Burned, On The Sly and I Don’t Wanna Stop sit alongside earworm reinterpretations including Ride On Time, The Wilhelm Scream and Lost, to form a catalogue that melds powerful vocals and exceptional musicianship. Whether you’re a Bamboos loyalist or a new fan, The Bamboos 25 Years is a chance to hear masters of their craft.

With eleven studio albums, seven ARIA Awards nominations and four APRA Songwriting Awards, this ten-piece band have a lot to celebrate on their silver anniversary. Do not miss it.

"When The Bamboos launched onto the scene, I remember what a breath of fresh air they were. What some may have viewed as a musical curiosity has turned into a quarter of a century long career." Richard Kingsmill (Triple J)

"They have kept flying the flag for Funk and Soul for their 25 years as without them out this scene would be so much poorer." Craig Charles (BBC 6Music)
