Burlyflexx: Classic Burlesque @ One Playground Surry Hills

Welcome to the dazzling world of Burlesque with 'Burlyflexx'! Led by the mesmerizing performer, Lou P Scarlett, this electrifying 8-week program is designed to ignite your confidence and celebrate your unique sensuality. Whether you are a seasoned performer or this is your first time delving into the world of burlesque, this course is designed to teach you both the fundamentals of burlesque and extend your performing prowess.

Classic Burlesque incorporates the traditional elements of 20th Century burlesque dancing, music and vintage glamour. This course will teach you the core moves of Burlesque; the bump grind, shimmy, shake and strut. You’ll learn the power of stage presence, character development and costume creations, and incorporate all you learn into a slow and sensual strip-tease inspired by the Burlesque legends and methods of the past. This group routine will be performed at One Playground in the final week of the course, for Lou P and fellow students. You will also have the opportunity to perform on stage at Sydney's hottest new cabaret venue, The Emerald Room, at the end of the 8-week programme if you choose.

Your 8 week program will include:

Nipple tassels, gloves and 1x costume piece (this will be presented through the duration of the course)

What You Need To Provide:

Undergarments (bra, underwear, stockings) + heels

One Playground Performance Day @ Surry Hills - Sunday 1st September 2024, 6pm-7pm

The Emerald Room Performance - Sunday 8th September 2024, 3pm - 9pm
