Explore botanical art with the beautifully fluid medium of watercolor in this 2-hour introductory program for students 16 years and over.
Students will explore the details of leaves, flowers and seed pods to create their own botanical inspired artwork.
This fun course for beginners explores the basics of botanical art using watercolour, pencil and ink. Students will learn formal watercolour painting techniques such as washes, blooming and staccato dry brushing.
We will complete some fun painting exercises and play with this versatile medium to explore ways to represent objects from nature.
Learn some simple tips and tricks to create the illusion of texture, tone and form. Explore transparent and opaque layering to make your work pop!
