The Blak Markets are an established, ethical indigenous market and social enterprise that celebrates the work of First Nation small business owners.

The Rocks is hosting a two-day Blak Markets event, including:

  • 20 unique Indigenous stalls

  • A Welcome to Country and Smoking Ceremony

  • Traditional Indigenous dance and singing performances

  • A craft and weaving workshop open to the public

Shop original, authentic and affordable artworks, one-of-a-kind handcrafted homewares and jewellery as well as delicious Aboriginal inspired food and refreshments. Enjoy the markets knowing that 100% of profits made are going back into Aboriginal communities.

The Program

Saturday:

11am: Singing with Dale Huddelston 

11am - 3pm: Free weaving workshop with Nadeena Dixon

12pm - 1pm: Kids workshop with Uncle Larry Brandy 

1.30pm: Dancing with Milan Dhiiyaan

Sunday:

11am: Singing with Dyagula 

11am - 3pm: Free weaving workshop with Wanita Lowe
