Basura: Eco Couture

Baker Miller Pink is excited to announce our next collaboration with FRANCISCO ALCAZAR, an Eco Couturier and zero waste designer.

Part Wearable Art, part Trashion, he specialises in one-off, bespoke maximilist tailoring and objects with a firm focus on transformative and circular materiality... design from a philosophical standpoint. All pieces, plus a limited editon series of concept design collages, will be available to purchase through the gallery.

By reusing what is already present, Alcazar signals a resistance to the extraction and manufacture of new synthetic materials. Transforming the discarded waste into an object of personal use. It is drawn inside the home of a new custodian to care for in a mindful way. Alcazar’s zero waste design practice promotes the values of a circular economy where materials, fabrics and clothing already on the planet are given multiple life cycles.

18th March - OPENING EVENT SATURDAY NIGHT: 6 - 9pm (Ticketed FREE)

Curated viewing sessions will be in place for Opening Night, hosting 1/2 hour sessions within the gallery space with the artist on Saturday, and we encourage you to stay with us downstairs at the ready-made 'Garage Bar' where we will be serving refreshments. 

LIVE Entertainment: We are thrilled to welcome the fabulous PENEOLOPE (@i.am.the.penelope) to the Garage Bar.
