Australian South Sea Islanders basketball competition

Celebrate culture in this friendly one-day competition as part of our Australian South Sea Islanders Recognition Day program of events.

Join a team representing your favorite Pacific island or community and play in 3 on 3 (up to 5 people) games against other nations.

There are men’s and women's competitions. All players are welcome.

Registration is essential. Competition details will be emailed to registered players closer to the event. There is a registration fee of $30 per team, lunch included.

Reminders and what to bring:

• Please bring your own water bottle – alternatively, they sell drinks across the road at YHA.

• We encourage teams to wear a uniform or the same colour

• We encourage you to use public transport and check travel alerts. Parking may be difficult.

• Good sportsmanship – this is a social event to celebrate diversity
