Kil.n.it Experimental Ceramics Studio welcomes you all to our annual Open Studio together with The Australian Ceramics Association.

Pop by this year to say hi and have a chat to our artists and members and get a guided tour of the facilities with the opportunity to get a glimpse of the daily practice of our incredibly talented studio artists.

Make your way upstairs and in our communal workshop space you will find gorgeous ceramic artwork showcased by 3 of our Kil.n.it Members.

If you prefer to stay on ground level you can watch a mesmerising wheel throwing demonstration throughout the day.

Kil.n.it provides a hub for experimental ceramic artists and members to practice, grow and share within the city of Sydney and beyond.

As a not-for-profit artist-run-artist-led space, Kil.n.it provides studios, firing services, classes and members studio, existing to support the creative community with an explorative attitude towards ceramics.

Making with clay is part of the human story from ancient times. But it doesn’t live in history! Ceramic practice is continuous in every culture all over the world. And it’s thriving in Australia right now. More people are taking pottery classes, restaurants are using locally made tableware, galleries are showing ceramic art and artists’ markets are brimming with colourful and quirky ceramic creations.

The event is from 10am-3pm on Saturday 8 November. It’s free and family friendly.
