Join this free workshop led by a qualified artist, counsellor and art psychotherapist, to celebrate Mental Health Month.

You don't need any previous art experience to take part. The purpose of art therapy is to provide a safe and supportive space to explore and engage in the creative process. It can help you express yourself, focus, relax and connect with others.

For ages 18 years and over.

The benefits of art therapy include:

  • ability to communicate more effectively and express thoughts and emotions

  • greater self-awareness, esteem, and acceptance

  • connecting with creativity and art-making

  • helps to decrease feelings of anxiety and depression

  • allows social connection through creativity

  • helps develop a sense of empowerment and strength

Limited spaces bookings essential. Light snacks provided.

We aim to deliver inclusive and accessible events and activities. If you have any particular access or communication needs, please get in touch with youth team leader Lorraine Ventura on 0414 285 894 or lventura@cityofsydney.nsw.gov.au.
