The Defence Surface Fleet Review – Strategic and Practical Implications : an analysis of Australia’s surface combatant fleet review

Special event, extended lecture includes lecture, panel discussion; afternoon tea & drinks.  

Speakers:  

Jennifer Parker Expert Associate at the National Security College, Australian National University and an Adjunct Fellow in naval studies at the University of New South Wales Canberra. Jennifer also holds the position of Nancy Bentley Associate Fellow in Indo-Pacific Maritime Affairs at the Council on Geostrategy. Jennifer hosts and produces the weekly Maritime Matters podcast the Australian Naval Institute's Saltwater Strategists podcast focused on Indo-Pacific maritime affairs.

Associate Professor Adam Lockyer Department of Security Studies and Criminology, Macquarie University. He held the 2015 Fulbright Scholarship in US-Australian Alliance Studies at Georgetown University. Before joining the Department of Security Studies and Criminology, A/Prof. Lockyer was a Research Fellow in Defence Studies at the University of New South Wales. He has also held positions at the United States Studies Centre at the University of Sydney, at the Center for Strategic and International Studies, in Washington, DC, and was the Lowy Institute's 2008 Thawley Scholarship in International Security winner. He also spent four years serving in the Australian Army.
