Saturday 21 September from 10am to 4pm
The foundation of painting, drawing is an essential skill if you are looking to pursue art making. This class will go through both an intuitive and a classical approach to drawing. We will start with expressive exercises, learning to approach the paper loosely and with little care for precision.
We will focus on capturing the essence of our subjects in a free style. We will slowly work our way up towards the more technical approach, which requires detail and patience. In this half of the class, we will learn methods to achieve correct measurements. We will learn how to create form by distinguishing light and shadow shapes and learn about creating detailed shading.
