We asked 5 people with disability some difficult questions in the lead up to International Day of People with Disability

Hear their answers about what it’s like to live with disability and what the day means to them.

International Day of People with Disability is celebrated on 3 December every year.

It’s a day aimed at increasing public awareness, understanding and acceptance of people with disability.

In the lead up to the day, we asked some of our Inclusion (Disability) Advisory Panel members a few difficult questions such as, have you ever tried to hide your disability? Do you put your disability on your resume?

We hope their experiences will challenge the way you think about disability and help grow a more inclusive Australia.

There are plenty of ways to get involved with International Day of People with Disability. Join talks, workshops, sports and activities across our local area for all ages.
