Yoto's Book Week Treasure Trail Adventure

When

Saturday 10 August 2024 from 8:30am to 12pm

Calling All Young Adventurers! Are you ready for an epic quest?

To celebrate Book Week 2024 and the launch of kid's audio brand Yoto in Australia, we’re inviting kids aged 3 to 12 (and their grown-ups!) to unlock their imaginations and creativity and join us for a morning of stories, music, adventure and… treasure for all!

What to expect

The Treasure Hunt

Bring your sharpest looking eyes and search for one of 100 Yoto ‘keys’ which will be hidden along winding paths, under shady fig trees and beneath fluffy ferns near Lachlan Swamp.

The Yoto Treasure Chest awaits the victorious adventurers, overflowing with goodies and surprises! The Treasure Trail starting point is near the Centennial Park Labyrinth and will be clearly marked with helpful signage. Registration is a must and numbers are limited.

Amazing Prizes

Adventurers who don’t take part in the Treasure Hunt (those with General Admission tickets) still have a great chance of taking home 1 of 50 Yoto Players and other amazing kid-friendly goodies, with prizes on the day for the best costumes, the best dance moves, and for those who show great spirit and determination!

Grown-upswe have you covered too. Participants will also go in the draw to win a Mustard Made locker from the event in the colour of their choice, perfect for storing all of your new Yoto goodies at home!

Exciting Activities

  • Get sidetracked on your quest with a Yoto Mini Meditation Walk around the famous Centennial Park Labyrinth.

  • Have a boogie and do some star jumps at the Yoto Music and Move station to tunes from The Beatles, Queen and other kids favourites.

  • Grab a cushion on the Yoto Story Spot and tune in to some of your favourite stories from Roald Dahl, Disney, Beatrix Potter, Peppa Pig, Yoto Originals and many more.

  • The young and young at heart can swing by the face painter’s station and get into your best Book Week character.

  • You may even see a real-life super-magical Bubble Queen ...

Silly Stories for Kids, Live!

Meet Sam himself from the smash hit kids podcast Silly Stories for Kids, who will be delivering his wild, hilarious and oh-so-silly stories live for kids on the day! Come along to the Story Spot and maybe your name can feature in one of his stories, that he’ll be making up on the spot!
