Working with Charcoal Mediums: 2 Day Workshop

- Sunday 25 October from 10am to 3pm
In this two day workshop you will be exploring the richness and depth of this wonderful medium and how you can express your ideas using the unique qualities that charcoal has to offer.
This is a class where any level of experience with drawing is welcome. If you have never experimented with charcoal drawing, this is an excellent place to start. If you are an experienced charcoal artist, Andrew's workshop will allow you to further develop your techniques and introduce new methods of developing your personal imagery.
Day 1: You will be shown techniques of blending, toning and texturing. The best use of willow charcoal, compressed charcoal and conte will be shown. Erasing techniques will also be demonstrated to create subtlety of light and dark.
Day 2: You will develop these methods and techniques into a more personal imagery which will be enhanced and enriched by the use of charcoal.
All materials are supplied. Please ensure to bring an apron.
