Mardi Gras favourite Ultra Violet is heating up City Recital Hall this June with a special Winter Violet edition of the beloved sapphic-centred party.
Ultra Violet creators Sveta Gilerman and Jess Hill (DJ Estée Louder) are back, programming three epic stages all with their own unique sound, plus a new bar area.
Intimate, electric, and defiant, Winter Violet welcomes LGBTQIA+ women and allies.
Main Hall presented by Jameson: Euphoric. Familiar. Classic.
Ladyhawke will grace the iconic City Recital Hall auditorium for a rare DJ set, featuring a dose of synth-tinged indie and anthemic dance music. Also on the decks are Charlie Villas, Keavzs, and Alex Dugan playing familiar classics to get your hands firmly in the air. Main Hall will also feature a special live performance from DEVAURA, known for her versatile, high-energy performances, singing and rapping the crowd into a frenzied state.
BathHOUSE: Underground. Subversive. Sensual.
The Hall’s expansive ground floor will feature DJ sets from Mama De Leche, Estée Louder, Milkpaste and prettyboi.zeke, playing underground house and worldwide club sounds.
The Violet Room: Latin. Funk. Soul.
A new intimate dancefloor just for winter, The Violet Room will host the Femme Forward Collective serving Latin rhythms, and slinging vinyl electronica, disco funk and soul on the turntables. Featuring Bebecito, BRINA, Calimera, Canela, La Foxy Fuzz, Mariachi, RAQUEL, and Sasha Soh.
Dyke Bar
For those wanting to chat with friends, the Main Hall’s music will be piped into a new pool bar area, with light snacks available for purchase. For even more chill, head upstairs to a new quiet space.
Supported by Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras.
This is an 18+ event. Some performances will have adult themes. Please note all tickets are general admission standing.
City Recital Hall is an inclusive venue and all are welcome to enjoy the power of music. Anti-social or discriminatory behaviour will not be tolerated.
