What do we truly desire in our art? Why do people go to all the fuss of buying paintings and hanging them in their homes?
The power in this art is to feel something influential that resonates deep within you. Perhaps you see hope when you are feeling disheartened, or you feel beauty when your life feels stark, or you sense a celebration when life is good. Maybe that feeling is so deep you can’t put words to it, but you find you can’t tear your eyes away from the painting.
In this group exhibition, the artists use their passions, feelings and desires to create paintings that serve as a source of support and encouragement for others. As humans, what we truly desire is to be understood by others. In art, what we desire is for the painting to help us to understand ourselves a little bit better. Simply, art makes our lives better.
