In these crafty 1.5 hour school holiday workshops, your child will learn the basics of weaving and transform fabric leftovers into fun wall hangings.

Teachers from Reverse Garbage will introduce your child to this relaxing art form and teach multiple weaving styles using upcycled and reused materials.

They’ll leave with their own weaving creations and lots of upcycling inspiration. Everything is provided, but if you have fabric or textile offcuts at home, bring them along to add to their creation.

Parents or guardians must sign in for children, stay in the library for the duration of the activity and collect children at the end of the session.

You must live in the City of Sydney to participate and proof of address is required. Check this map to see if you're eligible.

  • Bring (optional): Any fabric offcuts or an old t-shirt you have at home. Don’t worry if you don’t have anything to bring, as we’ll provide materials for you.
