Sunday 4 May from 7am to 12pm
Walk for WAGEC is a 5km walk or 10km run at Centennial Park, Sydney, to raise money for women and children impacted by violence.
Violence against women and children is a national crisis. But together, we can change it.
On average in Australia, a woman is killed every 4 days. Every fortnight, a child dies as a result of domestic and family violence.
It’s devastating. It’s unacceptable. And it’s why we walk. By signing up to Walk for WAGEC, you’re helping us call for an end to this violence.
Help us raise $500,000 that will:
Provide emergency accommodation to women and children escaping domestic violence and homelessness.
Fund programs that support women to recover from trauma and build safer futures for themselves and their families.
Support children impacted by domestic violence and homelessness to heal, thrive and grow into healthy adults.
Help us advocate for change in policy and support with government
This year is set to be the biggest walk on record, with something exciting in store for everyone. From great local food options, music to keep you energised and fun activities for our littlest walkers – perfect for the whole family.
Come for a walk with us on Sunday 4 May and call to end violence against women and children.
