This exhibition is part of the Head On Photo Festival Open Program in November.
The In Focus Collective is a dynamic group of photographers from The Aperture Club, united by a passion for creative growth and storytelling through photography. With experience ranging from professional to emerging, the collective partaking in this Photography Exhibition consists of 26 members, each bringing a unique perspective to their work.
Committed to pushing their photographic boundaries, the group explores themes that challenge conventional urban narratives. Through workshops, on-location shoots, and collaborative critique sessions, members refine their technical skills while developing their artistic voices.
For this exhibition, the In Focus Collective turned their lenses toward Post-Urbanisation, capturing the shifting landscapes of ‘The Modern City’. Some photographers highlight abandoned spaces where nature reclaims the built environment, while others focus on the rise of smart technology and digital isolation. Light, shadow, and composition become tools to explore whether cities still connect us or if they are becoming more fragmented than ever.
The collective’s work reflects both technical skill and a deep curiosity about how urban life is evolving. Through this exhibition, they invite viewers to question their own relationship with the city—its past, present, and perhaps, uncertain future.
