UNSEEN: Evie - nevertheless she persisted

When

Friday 3 December 2021 from 1:30pm to 2:30pm Saturday 4 December 2021 from 11am to 12pm

Evie's powerful poetry is unashamedly, confronting, educational, and straight-up with no candy coating. Evie poetry reading discuss violence against women, social inequity, religious trauma and much much more. This might be one of the most profound poetry reading you will hear, so buckle in. Trigger warning for those inquiring to attend.

After finally leaving her violent partner, Evie found herself unable to find a landlord willing to lease private housing to her and her young son. Her only choice was to ask her abusive partner to sign the lease on her behalf. Evie is reminded daily of her grandmother's choice to suicide rather than stay in an abusive relationship.
