Executive Chef Nobuyuki Ora in collaboration with Cammeray’s two-hatted Sushi Oe Chef Toshihiko Oe presents a rare and exclusive event at ORA, Sydney’s most exciting Japanese restaurant.
Experience the artistry and skill of sushi-making at a bluefin tuna carving ceremony.
Watch as Chef Oe and Chef Ura skilfully break down a whole bluefin tuna, showcasing traditional Japanese techniques that have been honed over centuries.
Pay rapt attention as two sushi masters share their experience and knowledge, explaining which parts of the tuna are prized and why. During the ceremony, the two chefs will dissect the tuna and extract numerous pieces from the fish such as the superb belly, loin and bone meat.
The process focuses on respect for an outstanding product while utilising every part of the fish.
During the live event guests looking on will enjoy a welcome drink along with a selection of premium canapes including fresh shucked oysters, prawn shumai, tuna ceviche, yakitori skewers and miso toothfish.
