Saturday 16 November from 10:30am to 12:30pm

Join us for a hands-on workshop where you'll transform discarded plastic waste, leather scraps and laser-cut acrylic offcuts into stunning wearable art pieces.

Using a mix of waste materials from our makerspace, you’ll construct striking jewellery pieces such as earrings, pendants or brooches using our laser cutter and simple hand tools. You will learn innovative techniques to upcycle discarded materials from the makerspace that would otherwise end up in landfill.

No prior experience is needed - just bring your creativity and a desire to make a positive impact on our planet.

What you’ll learn 

  • Basic laser cutting

  • Basic jewellery making 

What you’ll take home 

  • 1-2 pieces of upcycled laser cut jewellery

Details 

  • Cost: $10 per person 

  • Bookings and class size: Maximum 12 people – bookings are essential 

  • Suitable for: Suitable for ages 16 and over 

  • Parental permission is required for under 18s 

  • Experience level: This is a beginner workshop with no required knowledge 

  • Wear: Enclosed shoes and no loose-fitting clothing or jewellery
