This workshop is open to members of the community, allies, workers and friends to improve and enhance your knowledge of the trans and gender-diverse community.
Participation in this workshop requires a commitment to 1 hour of prior learning online. Registrations close on Wednesday 15 March in order to allow time to complete this training.
You'll learn how to:
Differentiate between gender and sexuality
Recognise the unique health and wellbeing disparities and impacts of social stigma that are faced by trans and gender-diverse people
Refresh your understanding of trans and gender-diverse communities
Understand appropriate strategies for visible trans allyship
Detect areas for improvement within your role and workplace and implement trans-affirming practice into day-to-day work activities

Understanding the difference between gender and sexuality
The lived experience of sexuality and gender-diverse people
Health impacts of social stigma and assumptions
Understanding inclusion
Useful tips on being an ally
