First Nations artists explore how history could be seasoned differently in a great debate with a twist.

Captain Cook: overrated or undercooked? Is the arrival of a British sailor on Australian shores two and a half centuries ago more impressive than 60,000 continuous years of Indigenous history?

A great debate with a twist, First Nations artists come together inside Sydney Town Hall to thrash out a series of fundamental questions about our past.

Hosted by Miss Ellaneous, this one-off event takes place in partnership with the Biennale of Sydney

To cook Cook or Not has been designed to challenge the significance of Captain James Cook’s voyage to Australia 250 years ago and stimulate discussion about the narratives that define the story of Australia.
