What if you could see, hear and feel the minutes of your life, or the life of someone you loved, slipping away?

With cancer remaining a leading cause of death in Australia, tens of thousands are faced with this reality every day.

Join us at Carriageworks for a raw, intimate and once-in-a-lifetime experience, as a woman with a terminal diagnosis auctions 3-minute pieces of her remaining time to raise awareness for cancer research.

A profoundly human and fleeting one-on-one encounter that offers a unique opportunity to grasp the emotional and psychological weight of living with, or being connected to someone with, a terminal diagnosis. And to shine a light on the importance that research plays in changing the outcomes for people diagnosed with cancer.

This exhibition hopes to improve the understanding and support of ACRF and the critical role our funding plays in advancing cancer research in Australia.

  • About Australian Cancer Research Foundation (ACRF)

This year marks 40 years since ACRF was founded. Since the start our mission has always been laser-focused - support the scientists by giving them access to what they most need, and can’t access elsewhere. With the rapid evolution of technology and equipment, this is vital for them to turn their brilliant ideas into lifesaving and transformative innovations in research. The outcomes could change the meaning of a future cancer diagnosis, a legacy we can leave by acting now.
