Thursday 12 October 2023 from 6pm to 8pm
Roll up, roll up and enter an experience to lift the spirits! A hands-on workshop exploring the beauty of circular forms as expressed in the great tradition of circus performance.
Participants will create whimsical sculptures and wearable artefacts constructed from folding and stitching paper circles and rings patterned with circus motifs and designs.
Play with pattern, shape, form and space to create sculptural forms that can be freestanding, a mobile or a relief sculpture or a body adornment. By exploring the geometry of the circle and the magic of rings and Turkish map folds, we will uncover significance of the circle in time. Join us at Scratch Art Space for this workshop and glass of wine.
Fun for all, be amazed, one performance only!
This event is part of the Sydney Craft Week Festival 6-15 October 2023.
SCW is an Australian Design Centre initiative. View the complete festival program.
