Thursday 1 February 2024 from 6pm to 8pm
Join us for an enchanting evening of music and storytelling with the local ensemble, The Miriam Lieberman Trio. Miriam Lieberman is a Jewish artist known for her powerful voice and richly textured songwriting. Her intricate melodies, accompanied by the luscious harmonies of Susie Bishop and Lara Goodridge, will move and transport you.
Lieberman will sing in different languages throughout the evening, including Ladino, a Hebrew-Spanish hybrid language unique to Sephardic Jewish communities.
This event, part of our 2024 Musical Portraits series, will leave you with a deeper appreciation for the expressive melodies and emotional depth that characterises Sephardic music.
A ticket to events within this series includes complimentary refreshments, as well as a pass to explore the museum and all of our exhibitions from 6pm, before the show starts at 7pm.
