Don’t miss this “One Night Only” performance from 2 of the mainstays of Harry Connick Jnr’s Big Band in a breakaway “Take no Prisoners & Let Your Hair Down” quintet.

Internationally renowned, veteran saxman Jerry Weldon, has been on the jazz scene for more than 40 years. A native New Yorker, Jerry joined Lionel Hampton’s Orchestra in 1981 upon graduating from the Rutgers Jazz Program. In 1990, Weldon became a charter member and featured soloist in Harry Connick Jr.’s newly formed big band and was seen daily on Connick’s daytime television program, "Harry".

During his tenure with Hampton & Connick, Jerry toured extensively in the U.S. and Canada, as well as Europe, Asia, and Australia, and appeared on dozens of television programs. In addition to his own band, He has worked, toured, and recorded with a host of jazz greats including Jack McDuff, Jimmy McGriff, Joey DeFrancesco, George Cables, Jimmy Cobb, Roy Haynes, George Benson, Earl Klugh, and Mel Tormé. With more sideman sides than he can count and eleven CDs as a leader, Jerry’s latest, recording is “Those Were the Days.”

Neal “Sugar” Caine is one of the premier jazz bassists on the scene today. His dynamic style is typified by a huge sound, a great feel, and masterful technique – that have made him the chosen bassist to an array of stars, from Harry Connick, Jr. and Diana Krall, to the venerable jazz legends Betty Carter and Elvin Jones. A dual resident of New York City and New Orleans, this St. Louis native has delighted audiences worldwide since he began touring internationally at age 19 with the Delfeayo Marsalis Quintet.

Neal has also performed with Nicholas Payton, John Batiste and Stay Human, Wynton & Branford Marsalis John Hicks, Gladys Knight, Jeff Watts, Dr John, The New Orleans Jazz Orchestra, and many more. He is a formidable component of the Connick Big Band sound.

Together, Jerry and Neal will electrify the stage, the crowd, and the air with a very rare Quintet performance – reuniting with three of their distinguished musical colleagues – longtime New York-based guitarist JC Stylles, Chicago-born and New York tenured pianist John Harkins, and Sydney-based drummer and educator Andrew Dickeson.

Mark your calendars & get your tickets now as this one will sell out!
