JAG is a trio that improvises and plays compositions, exploring a range of sonic possibilities, including textural densities, tension at different volumes, and timbral combinations. Melodies and rhythmic archetypes serve as platforms for improvisation. The written components function as interchangeable pieces that can be rearranged to create frameworks that inform improvisation.

This will be their third gig as a trio!

Performers:

  • Gabriella Hill – Saxophone

  • Jacques Emery – Double bass

  • Alex Tucker – Drums
