Jeremy Rose is a prolific saxophonist and composer from Sydney, Australia. He is known for his wide breadth of work, gift for vibrant melody, and musical curiosity.

His career spans over 25 unique original recordings as a leader and over 150 works. His current ensembles include The Earshift Orchestra, The Vampires, Vazesh, Visions of Nar, Project Infinity, and the Jeremy Rose Quartet.

Rose has received numerous accolades for his work, including an ARIA Award for Best Jazz Album, the APRA/AMCOS Art Music Award for Improvised/Jazz Performance of the Year, two Bell Awards, and a short-listing for the Australian Music Prize. As a label director of Earshift Music, Rose has fostered a community of creative musicians throughout Australasia which NYC Jazz Records describes as “hell-bent on pushing the very definition of jazz,” and Sydney Morning Herald describes as “Australia’s most significant outlet for jazz-related music.” The label celebrated 15 years in 2024 with over 90 releases.

Join the Jeremy Rose Quartet as they visit music from his four critically acclaimed solo releases: Face to Face, Within and Without, Sand Lines, and Chiba. With a lineup of some of Sydney’s best jazz artists, this is a night not to be missed!

“Riveting improvisations from one of our best composers.” – Sydney Morning Herald.

“State-of-the-art acoustic jazz, impeccably performed, sanguine in nature, brimming with hope.” – Rhythms Music Magazine.

“Buoyant invention: never seeming to flag or to want for new ideas, he is that rare thing, an improviser you want to hear more from… Jeremy Rose is one to watch on the Australian jazz scene… “ – Jazzwise Magazine, UK.

“There is much fire and interaction to be found within their readings of the pieces which are both accessible and challenging.” – The Music Trust.

“A brilliant Sydney jazz composer and instrumentalist, a young man with a social purpose…. extraordinary music.” – The Australian.
